Licensed Journeyman Plumber

SUMMARY :

The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and materials.

Identify required tools and special equipment, select type, and size of the pipe, locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures, Install support and hangers for pipes, fixtures, and equipment.

Install, repair, and maintenance of piping, controls, underground storm sanitary, water piping systems, sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, plumbing fixtures.

Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks, Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing system and fixtures.

Apply all codes to installation, repairs, and maintenance, Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned supported, and graded, Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes,

Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements, comply with OSHA safety standards including regular safety talks, read a map, or have GPS

Present professional image punctuality, wearing the company uniform and being well-groomed, must have clean driving records and a valid driver’s license. Other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE:

KY Journeyman Plumber License, Valid KY Driver’s License

Plumbing Apprentice

SUMMARY :

The plumbing apprentice assists the plumber in effectively communicating and resolving all problems and concerns clients have in regards to the installation, repair, and maintenance of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing systems. The purpose of the apprenticeship is to obtain a working knowledge of the essential functions as it pertains to the state and federal codes and regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Under the supervision of a Licensed Plumber, the apprentice should have the ability to install, repair, and maintenance of piping, controls, underground storm sanitary, water piping systems, sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, plumbing fixtures. Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks, Perform scheduled maintenance service on the plumbing system and fixtures, Apply all codes to installation, repairs, and maintenance, Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned supported, and graded, Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes, Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements, comply with OSHA safety standards including regular safety talks, read a map or have GPS, present professional image punctuality, wearing the company uniform and being well-groomed, must have clean driving records and valid driver’s license.
