Trenchless Pipe Relining

Residential Trenchless Pipe Lining in Lexington, Kentucky

Your main sewer line and water supply line run underground to your home from the municipal sewer and water line at the street. Sometimes, these lines spring leaks, break, or deteriorate due to old age.

It can be difficult and costly to dig them up when this happens, as sewer and water lines tend to run under driveways, patios, and other hardscape areas. Additionally, gas lines, fiber optic cables, and electrical cables must be avoided.

Fortunately, there are several ways to avoid digging up these pipelines to your home while still repairing the problems and restoring functionality. Trenchless pipe lining and pipe bursting allow us to repair or replace your water or sewer lines without digging a trench.

Contact Fayette for trenchless pipe lining services in Lexington and the surrounding areas up to Elizabethtown and Bardstown, Kentucky.

What is Trenchless Pipe Lining and Pipe Bursting?

Your underground pipes carry water to your home and sewage away from your home. It’s a big problem if either of these develop leaks or breaks. You can get sewage backups or extremely high water bills, not to mention a soggy lawn. Getting to these buried pipes can be challenging, which is why it’s always best to call a professional plumber

Our first step is to find the extent of the damage. First, we dig an access hole so we can send a fiber optic camera down your pipe to see the scope of the problem. Depending on the issue, pipe lining may be deemed the appropriate solution to the problem. A flexible, resin-coated tube is pulled through the existing pipe, cured, and hardened. This cured inner lining repairs any holes in your original pipe, and your pipe will work as good as new.

Pipe bursting is similar to pipe lining. Instead of pulling an inner sleeve into your old pipe, a bursting head pulls through it to burst it apart. Behind the bursting head is a new pipe that is pulled along to replace the original.

Both methods help avoid excavation and can get your plumbing system back up and running in a day. Trenchless pipe lining may seem more expensive than traditional methods, but the savings in not tearing out your garden, deck, landscaping, or driveway can make it worthwhile.

Limitations of Trenchless Pipe Lining and Bursting

There are a few limitations to what can be accomplished with trenchless pipe lining and bursting. Very large or very small diameter pipes may not be serviceable with this solution. Additionally, extreme damage, collapses, and bellies may not be repairable.

Our experts will know which options are available to you and will be able to give you straightforward quotes for the different types of trenchless pipe repairs available.

Fayette also offers traditional sewer and water line replacement services if trenchless repiping is not a viable solution.
